Season 5 Siege of Vegas: maps, weapons, and what to track
Battlefield 6 Season 5 opened on October 13 with Vegas Strip, Area 51, four new weapons, and a new battle pass. Here is what those changes do to a stats profile.

Season 5, Siege of Vegas, went live with Game Update 2.1.1.0 on October 13, 2026. The July roadmap called this a winter drop. It landed in mid-October instead, with two new maps on day one and a third held for November.

The two maps that matter now
Vegas Strip is a full-size urban map: casinos, hotel towers, rooftop lines, fountains, and storm drains under the street. It supports land vehicles and helicopters. Open sightlines and close fights share the same match, so a weapon that looks dominant in the lobby can fall apart once you split time between the crater and the drains.
Area 51 splits the same way, vertically. Jets, helicopters, and tanks own the desert and the dry lakebed. A crater drops infantry into tunnels and labs. If your vehicle time jumps this week and your infantry K/D does not, you are probably living on the surface.
DICE published a developer walkthrough of both layouts, including Olympus, the storm drains, and Karat Plaza: Vegas Insider.
New guns, old columns
The opening arsenal adds the Mk 24, RSPR, Z84M, and ELR-40. They will show up in the weapons table as soon as EA records kills with them. Sort by time equipped before you sort by kills. A brand-new gun with a pretty K/D and twelve minutes of use is a sample, not a main.
Track these four columns for the first two weeks:
| Column | Why it moves in week one |
|---|---|
| Time equipped | Separates a test gun from a new main |
| Accuracy | Lobby weapons often look accurate until the map opens up |
| Headshot % | Useful on the drains and the labs, noisy on the Strip |
| KPM | Drops when you spend the match in a vehicle or rotating |
Vehicle rows deserve the same patience. Area 51 will inflate time-in-vehicle and roadkills for players who never touched armor in Season 4.
What not to average
Do not fold RedSec into the multiplayer K/D while you are learning these maps. Rapid Royale and the new ranked season are a different queue. The profile keeps them in their own section for that reason.
A useful Season 5 check, in order:
- Open the map table and confirm Vegas Strip and Area 51 have real playtime.
- Sort weapons by time, then by KPM.
- Check class time. Strip fights reward a different kit than the desert.
- Only then compare this week’s K/D to your career number.
The overlay builder can sit a K/D and win rate on stream while you learn the maps. Session stats count from the moment the browser source starts, which is the right window for a night of Vegas and not your whole career.
Still ahead this season
Phase 2 on November 10 brings European Casino, multiplayer leaderboards, and a balance pass. Phase 3 on December 8 brings the server browser, Platoons, and reworks of Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City. Those dates come from the October 21 community update.
Until the casino map exists, treat Vegas Strip and Area 51 as the whole new-map sample.
